Responsible Sourcing & Supply Chain

At Amerons, we believe responsible furniture sourcing starts with respect for people, materials, and the communities involved in making our products. We work with Sri Lankan makers and suppliers with a focus on responsible sourcing, fair working practices, quality, and long-term relationships.

SUPPLIER STANDARDS

We expect the makers and suppliers we work with to operate responsibly and in accordance with applicable laws and standards. Our approach prioritizes safe working environments, fair treatment, and respect for workers throughout the production process.

RESPONSIBLE SOURCING

We work to understand where our materials come from and prioritize responsibly sourced timber, natural materials, and other components wherever practical. We aim to work with suppliers who share our commitment to quality, responsible production, and sustainable resource use.

SUPPLIER REVIEW

We maintain ongoing relationships with our makers and suppliers and review their production practices, product quality, materials, and ability to meet agreed requirements. This helps us maintain consistent standards from sourcing through to finished furniture.

FAIR & DIRECT PARTNERSHIPS

Where possible, we work directly with Sri Lankan makers and workshops, helping build long-term relationships and creating opportunities for skilled craftspeople and local businesses.

ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY

We recognize the importance of reducing the environmental impact of furniture production. We encourage responsible material selection, efficient production, reduced waste, and thoughtful use of resources throughout the sourcing and manufacturing process.

ACCOUNTABILITY

If concerns arise regarding working practices, sourcing, quality, or compliance, we work with the relevant supplier to address them. Where required standards cannot be met, we may reconsider or discontinue the relationship.
